System and station for the supply to a catenary, and process of interruption of this supply

The system has three power supply stations (20-22) of a catenary (4), and generators (44, 54, 56) for transmitting control signals through the catenary. Each station has a receiver (46) to receive the control signals transmitted via the catenary and to control interruption of the power supply of one portion of the catenary based on the control signals. An independent claim is also included for a method of interruption of power supply of a portion of the failed catenary.
