Control device for an automated transmission improving the quality of upshifting under low engine torque
DRIVE
June 29, 2005
The device has a gearbox control unit exchanging information with an engine control unit of a vehicle. The information comprises a torque request from a driver and an actual torque value provided by the engine. The gearbox control unit sends a request to the engine control unit for delivering torque higher than the requested torque in order to increase a speed ratio, when the requested torque is less than a target engine torque.
