A mirror assembly (3) for a vehicle includes an opening, a mirror housing (4) having a window portion, a mirror unit (7) positioned over the opening, and a light unit (11). The light unit (11) includes a lamp lens (14) positioned over the window portion, a light source (17, 24) arranged in the mirror housing (4) at a position closer to a front side of the vehicle than the mirror unit (7), and a light distribution control unit (25) for controlling light distribution so that light from the light source (17, 24) is distributed to a range from the outer side to the back side of the vehicle.
