Signalling or lighting device, in particular for motor vehicle

The device has optical waveguides (G1, G2) arranged near a light source (L) and presenting a longitudinal axis. The axis is disposed transversal to main emission direction so that part of light from the source assures a signaling or lighting function with increased light intensity independent of the waveguides and a linear lighting or signaling function with reduced light intensity along the length of the waveguides.
