The rim has an inner side wall (325) with a curve segment extending between two points (A 0, B 0). The point (A 0) is situated adjacent to a base of a well (314). The point (B 0) is placed at a distance greater than a predetermined distance from the point (A 0) in a projection on a principle axis. The point (B 0) is spaced axially in a direction of a connection part (13) from the point (A 0). An independent claim is also included for a wheel of a motor vehicle.
