System for power supply of the functional elements of a vehicle electrical system

The system has operating units (7, 9) connected to a battery (1) across a power supply line (4). The power supply line is connected, to a controllable switch (10) whose opening and closing is controlled by a control unit (11), in parallel with power supply limitation unit (12). The control unit is connected with an airbag module for triggering opening of the switch in case of impact of a vehicle.
