Method for compensating anisotropy in a vibrating bell inertial rotation sensor

DRIVE June 15, 2005
Source
The method involves measuring a component of anisotropy between detection electrodes (5.1, 5.2) that extend opposite to an edge (7) of a vibrating bell (1) of an inertial rotation sensor. The anisotropy is measured by measuring a gain difference between the electrodes by a processing unit (8). A fraction of polarization voltage is applied to the electrodes based on the gain difference between the electrodes.
