Method and apparatus for determining a property of a magnetic field

Provided is a method and apparatus for using a magnetic field. The method includes: measuring and storing a series of magnetic field magnitude values measured in different directions by sensors rotating relative to the magnetic field; and checking whether a disturbance of the magnetic field exists, based on curve fitting parameters resulting from a model curve fitted to the stored magnetic field data.
