Motor and pump combination with connector

An improved method for fitting electric contacts to an electric motor and pump unit has an access aperture (6) in the sealed housing (1) into which is screw fitted a panel made of electrically insulating material and also resistant to oil. The panel is pierced by holes to take connecting studs (S) for the electric connections. The shafts of the studs are profiled for an enhanced seal, which can be backed by separate seals. The panel fitting is further sealed by an O-ring (10).
