Method and system for activation/deactivation of a function depending on reliability considerations

The method involves determining the reliability (p) of the signal (S) and/or sub-quantities of the signal, determining an anticipated total benefit (Nges) when activating the function depending on the reliability of the signal or the sub-quantity of the signal and activating/deactivating the function only if the total benefit to be anticipated is greater than a defined threshold value, especially greater than null. An independent claim is also included for a system for reliability-dependent activation/deactivation of functions.
