Impact protection device with shock absorbing members for motor vehicles

The device has two assemblies (20), one fixed on the right side and other on the left side of a vehicle structure. Each assembly has an upper shock absorbing unit (24) and a lower shock absorbing unit (26) integrated with each other by a connection plate (22). Two bumper beams (28, 30) are fixed on each side of the vehicle structure using the respective upper and lower shock absorbing units of the corresponding assembly.
