Ink for the preparation of membrane electrode assemblies and method of its use

Ink (I) containing a catalyst, an ionomer and organic solvent, for the production of membrane-electrode units for polymer-electrolyte fuel cells, in which the solvent comprises mono- or poly-hydric alcohols, glycols, glycol ether-alcohols and/or glycol ethers with an evaporation number of more than 600, preferably more than 800. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of membrane-electrode units by coating a polymer-electrolyte membrane with ink (I) as above.
