Curve warning system

Method for warning a vehicle (1) driver of possible collisions with objects when the vehicle is traveling in a curved path, whereby objects alongside the vehicle are detect and a warning signal generated if a collision is imminent. According to the method, the minimum turning curve of the vehicle rear axle (15) is determined and it is then calculated whether a detected object lies within this turning curve. An independent claim is made for a curve warning system with a detection device for detecting objects and an evaluation unit for calculating whether a collision is likely.
