Transport container for a vehicle

The transporting container unit (10) for vehicles has a support frame (14) fixed to the vehicle and upon which is fastened a transporting container (15) which has an opening which can be closed off by a cover element (22). The cover element is completely detachable from the container and/or from the support frame, especially for the purpose of exchanging it for another cover element. A fastening device is provided for the cover element by which the cover element is detachably fastened on the vehicle side.
