An internal combustion engine (10) including as main moving parts a connecting rod (16), a piston (13), a crankshaft (18) and a float bearing (31). The piston is connected to the connecting rod by a spherical joint (14) and has radial ribs (81) on a rear face (77) of a crown part (65). The connecting rod is of an integrated, one-piece type having integrally a spherical small end part (66) to be connected to the piston and an annular big end part (25). The crankshaft is of an assembly type. A float bearing (31) is interposed between the big end part and a crank pin (17).
