Air bag module

The airbag module (10) has a cover cap (28) with a center section (34) which is fastened on the airbag module so that with deployment of the airbag a free movement is prevented. The fastening means of the cover cap are designed so that the center section can move by a predetermined first distance (d1) in a first direction inside the airbag module to close the circuit between a first and second horn contact (46,48). The cover cap is fastened on the airbag module so that the whole cover cap can be moved in a first direction (A1).
