The pneumatic spring (2) has two distance-variable end elements (4,8), a cover plate (4) and an unrolling piston (8) and an ultrasonic measurement arrangement consisting of a transmitter/receiver (14) and a reflector (28) for contactless determination of the spring height (10) in accordance with the pulse/echo method.
