Exhaust gas recirculation valve

The valve (10) has a rotary drive (40), a rotary-reciprocal conversion mechanism (14, 18) including a drive element, and a valve element (26, 32). The drive element has a rotating connection to the valve element, at least in the direction of opening, so that during opening, the valve element can rotate with the drive element, but is not forcibly rotated with it.
