Method for display of traffic information in a vehicle

The method involves determining the traffic information in the vehicle and/or externally, sending it to the vehicle and displaying it in the vehicle. Determining the traffic information to be shown involves determining effective congestion area bottlenecks (E1-E5) and associated queuing traffic patterns (W1-W5) of an observed congested area road network and displaying them in the vehicle with positional resolution.
