A vehicle bumper device (10) is equipped with an energy absorption shaft (5) that is provided at a rear portion of a bumper (1) and protrudes the bumper toward a front of a vehicle; and a protrusion mechanism (9) that is provided at the rear portion of the bumper and protrudes the bumper toward the front of the vehicle, wherein the protrusion mechanism is composed of a ball screw (8) operated by a motor driving force, and the ball screw is arranged in parallel to the energy absorption shaft.
