Process for manufacturing a protective carpet for automotive vehicles and manufactured protective carpet.

The method involves placing compression zones (6,7), a reinforcement piece (5) and a heel pad (4) on a front surface of a rectangular base part (2) made up of material e.g. needle-punching fiber. An adhesive strip (8) is fixed on a back surface of the base part by a compressive tool. The adhesive strip has an adhesive layer (9) that is protected by a removable protective strip (11). An independent claim is also included for a protection carpet for motor vehicle.
