April 6, 2005
The belt deflection device for a motor vehicle safety belt has at least one holding point (417) upon which is mounted a deflection element (42) around the axis (423) of which the belt is deflected. The belt is deflected additionally in the direction of the vehicle's occupant around a belt deflection edge (416) formed by the shaping of a support component (41), whereby the deflection axis of the deflection element and deflection edge on the support component form an acute angle (alpha ) in relation to each other. At least one fastening point (411,412) is provided for the fixed mounting of the support component on the body of the vehicle. An independent claim is included for a method for the manufacture of a belt deflection device.
