Airbag cover and its production process

An interior panel for covering an air bag module of a vehicle, includes a base layer (1) of hard resin, formed with a breakaway portion (2) to form a deployment door (5) for the air bag module; and a covering layer (3) overlying the base layer (1), and including a surface layer of soft resin forming an interior surface. The covering layer (3) includes a break guide portion (4) formed between the base layer (1) and the surface layer. An adhesive layer (51) may be provided along the breakaway portion (2).
