Wheel axle for a motor vehicle

The wheel axle has an intermediate frame (2) provided with bearing sleeves (10,10') for supporting the intermediate frame from the automobile chassis (11), each wheel mounting provided by a lower linkage (4) and a shorter upper linkage (8), each attached to a wheel bearing at one end and the intermediate frame at the other end. The bearing sleeves have a lower stiffness in a direction at a given inclination angle to the automobile transverse axis than in each other direction. An independent claim for a bearing sleeve for an automobile wheel axle is also included.
