There is provided a cover member ( 7 ) which is pivotally connected to a vehicle floor ( 15 ) near a rear end of a seat cushion ( 2 ) at its lower end and to a seat back ( 3 ) at its upper end. The seat back ( 3 ) is supported by the cover member ( 7 ) so as to move forward and be located in its rising position in front of the seat cushion ( 2 ) and behind a front seat ( 1 ) located before the rear seat according to a forward rotation of the cover member ( 7 ) via the lower end pivotal connection to the vehicle floor ( 15 ). The cover member ( 7 ) covers substantially an upper face of the seat cushion ( 2 ) and provide a substantially flat and horizontal face at the vehicle rear in cooperation with a floor ( 12 ) of the load compartment ( 11 ) when the seat back ( 3 ) has moved forward.
