Multilayer air bag material, method of making, air bag, passive passenger restraint system comprising air bag and gastight polyamid film

Laminate material (I), especially for airbags, comprising a polymer film (preferably polyamide) laminated with a base layer (especially woven or knitted fabric), in which the polymer film consists of at least two layers, one comprising material with a glass transition point (Tg) of below -10[deg]C and the other material with a Tg of below 20[deg]C. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of (I) by making polymer film with at least two layers as above and then laminating the film with a base layer (preferably woven or knitted fabric or mesh made of polyamide) (2) airbags containing (I) (3) passive restraint systems with airbags as above (4) two-layer polyamide film as above with a melting point above 170[deg]C .
