Method and device for air humidification of rooms and vehicles

The device (1) for the warming of an airflow (3) by a heat exchanger plate (4) in the airflow path has air humidifying means including a porous material which is connected to heating elements (6) in a heat conducting manner, whereby a water dispensing unit (11,15,24) is provided for the wetting of the hydrophilous and/or porous material with water. The porous material is at least partially hollow in construction and the water dispensing unit is installed inside it. An independent claim is included for a method for the humidifying of an airflow passing through a heat exchanger plate in which water is applied to a porous material connected to heat elements.
