Safety device for a handling vehicle

An industrial truck has a roll-over cage to protect the driver. The cage has a side-bar on each side which prevents the driver falling from the cage in the event of a roll-over accident. The side-bar is attached at one end to the roll bar by a pivot, and at the other (18) end by a lock (22) with an emergency release.
