The system has a supply stage (14) connected to an external energy supply (12) and a chargeable energy storage device (16) connected to a regulator unit (18). The load (10) can be supplied with energy from the electrical energy storage device or via the supply stage. The regulator unit can be connected to the supply stage to obtain energy for charging the energy storage device.
