Industrial truck with electric drive and means for determining the rotational speed of the drive

Industrial truck, e.g. a forklift truck, has an electric drive (13) and means (17) for determining the drive speed. Additionally a device (19) is provided for measuring the rate of change of the drive speed, especially at high rates of change. Measurement of the rate of change of the drive speed can be used as a measure for loading of the drive wheels.
