The windscreen (5) of a vehicle (1), and especially a commercial truck, has an external sun visor (11) fitted at the upper edge. The sun visor is divided into two sections (13,15) in a wedge shape between their upper (21) and lower (23) edges, with a total length which is shorter than the width of the upper edge (17) of the windscreen. There is a gap (19) between the sections.
