Procedure and device for determining the road condition with microwaves

The method involves transmitting electromagnetic radiation with at least two different frequencies in the GHz range that is reflected and/or scattered at the road surface and then received. The determination of the state of the road surface is carried out by using a comparison of the radiation intensities at the different frequencies with each other. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for determining a road surface's condition with microwaves.
