An airflow deflector (12) of rigidly-inflexible material part-surrounds the crankcase vent pipe (10), sheltering it from the airflow. It is wrapped around and spaced from the pipe, to cover about 200[deg] of the pipe periphery. Stud fasteners (14) vulcanized into the pipe, with spacers (16), attach and locate the deflector. An internal, thermally-reflective foil is attached inside the deflector.
