The guiding arrangement for an adjustable element (12) of a vehicle's roof has a guide track (20,22,40) fastened to the body of the vehicle, and a guide unit (10) movable along the guide track and with a first (18,30) and a second (34,36,38) guiding section. At least one of the two second guide sections has an elastic component (38) which is constructed to load the guide units with a pretensioning force in the transverse direction away from one another and towards the guide track. An independent claim is included for the roof of a vehicle provided with the aforesaid guiding arrangement.
