February 23, 2005
An optical display device fits in a vehicle's (1) rearview/wing mirrors (6,7) and/or in the vehicle's interior near a mirror triangle or an A-column. A driver looking ahead does not notice an information signal but does notice a warning signal. A control device (CD) (2) communicates data with other vehicle CDs. Three sensors (3-5) link to the CD to pick up images from around the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with a driver assistance system according to the present invention.
