"textContent": "A brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus (10) includes a pressure-increasing valve (PU) disposed between a master cylinder (MC) and a wheel cylinder (W); a pressure-reducing valve (PD) disposed between the wheel cylinder (W) and a reservoir (RS); and a hydraulic pump (HP) for pumping brake fluid from the reservoir (RS) (secondary circuit) so as to return the brake fluid to a primary circuit between the master cylinder (MC) and the pressure-increasing valve (PU). Through control of these valves (PU,PD), brake hydraulic pressure within the wheel cylinder (W) is controlled. In addition, the hydraulic pump (HP) is driven at least over a period in which the brake hydraulic pressure control is performed. When the vehicle is in a predetermined state which indicates that the driver does not have an intention of performing the brake operation, both the pressure-increasing valve (PU) and the pressure-reducing valve (PD) are opened over a predetermined period of time so as to establish communication between the secondary circuit and the primary circuit.",
