Brake system for a vehicle using a pressure medium

An electronic control device (ECD) and a valve device (VD) operated electrically by the ECD are integrated in a parking brake (PB) module (2). The ECD activates a parking brake function (PBF) on receiving an electric activation signal from a PB signal transmitter (1) to request PBF activation. The ECD uses the VD to control the effect of a pressurized substance on an actuator during the PBF.
