Device for protection against accidental braking adapted to an electromechanical brake

DRIVE January 19, 2005
Source
The device has a power failure brake (15) that prevents and allows movement of a push rod (5) by an electric motor in respective states. Control logic (221) places the brake in one state by default. The logic places the brake in another state in response to the presence of an unblocking command (222) from an actuator control module (8) and a confirmation signal (13, 14, 23). The confirmation signal includes a pedal signal (13), fleet signal (14), and an active braking signal (23).
