Device for locking a wheel suspension, especially of a motor vehicle, comprises a spacer (10), and a spring (6) and a damping element (2) with a piston rod (3) for supporting the wheel suspension against a vehicle body. The piston rod has an overload spring (7) in the region of a first end stop. The spacer consists of at least one body removably held on the piston rod between the auxiliary spring and a second end stop (9). Preferred Features: The spacer has a central recess for the piston rod and consists of two segments held together. The spacer is made of hard elastic plastic and has a reduction in cross-section opposite an insertion opening.
