To provide a method for transmitting an emergency call which increases the reliability of data transmission this invention provides a method for transmitting an emergency call including emergency information from a vehicle using an mobile communication system. After an emergency call has been triggered at the vehicle, the method establishes a data connection to an emergency call assistance center via the mobile communication system, transmits emergency information to the emergency call assistance center using the data connection, establishes a first voice connection to the emergency call assistance center via the mobile communication system, and transmits a DTMF message including emergency information using the established first voice connection.",
