Fastening element for securing a panel to a vehicle door, wherein the fastening element comprises a first part (1), intended for fixing to the door or panel, having an axial direction and a transverse direction and an axially arranged cavity (5) and, connected to the cavity (5), a transversely arranged groove (6), a second part (11), intended for fixing to the door or panel, having an axial direction and a transverse direction and an axially protruding part for introduction axially into the cavity (5) in the first part (1), and a third part (17), having a resilient grip comprising two arms (18,19) for transverse introduction into the groove (6) in the first part (1), the third part (17) managing to lock the first part (1) in the second part (11).
