Method and apparatus for gasketing a fuel cell

Assembly has a set of components with electrically-conductive mating surfaces between the components. The surfaces are hermetically sealed by a gasket components including two layers (26,28) made of silver braze alloy and a dielectric layer. The gasket component is between surfaces for providing the seal. A dielectric component is placed between the layers to insulate the layer (26) from the layer (28). An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing surfaces between components of a fuel cell stack in the fuel cell assembly.
