Seatbelt retractor

The retractor has multiple energy-absorption pins (20) undergoing shear deformation in sequence between a stopper and a locking base. Twisting of a torsion bar and shear deformation of the pins absorbs kinetic energy applied to a passenger. The torsion bar and pins are disposed independently. Pitch of female screws of the stopper and male screws of the base is changed or diameter of the pins is changed.
