Mounting apparatus for electronic devices

The apparatus has a hinge assembly for holding an electronic device. A base (14) includes a lower portion mountable to a surface and an upper portion attached to the assembly. The base has a uni-body construction and includes weights, a gel portion and a rubber mat to conform to the surface. The base has a metal support sheet extending throughout the base. The assembly has a pivotable hinge connected to the base.
