Method for initialising an electro-mechanical converter, and device for carrying out such method

The method involves applying a defined electrical pre-treatment signal to the transducer before the actual operation and at least partly applying a mechanical load (F, h) to the transducer during application of the pre-treatment signal. The mechanical load is varied in a defined manner during the pre-treatment. The load is a defined force and/or displacement. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for pre-treating an electromechanical transducer.
