Combined brake system
DRIVE
December 22, 2004
The combination brake system for two-wheelers (1) has a manually operated hub brake (2) installed on the rear wheel, and a front brake (3) operated by the braking torque of the rear wheel hub brake. The power transmission from the torque lever (5) of the rear wheel brake to the front wheel brake takes place through a degressive toggle mechanism in the region of the rear wheel. The main bearing of the toggle lever is installed on an auxiliary support which is not rigidly connected to the frame of the vehicle, but is supported translationally on the rear wheel axle and rotationally on the frame.
