A battery module and a battery pack including the same are disclosed. A battery module includes a battery group in which a plurality of battery cells is arranged; a bus bar unit to electrically connect battery cells of the plurality of battery cells to each other; a pair of end plates respectively arranged at opposite sides of the battery group in a direction in which the battery cells are arranged; and a holder including a side connected to a terminal of each of the battery cells and another side connected to the end plate, and the holder covers at least one of the battery cells, has a first side bent, and covers an area of a battery cell of the plurality of battery cells that comes into contact with the end plate.
