Detector for determining the position of a laser beam
DRIVE
December 8, 2004
The laser beam detector (1) has a photodetector (4), with a number of photo sensors (6) arranged at defined positions relative to a reference point (5), for detection of the pulsed laser beam (2). The photosensor signals are fed to an evaluation circuit (7) controlling an output device (8), e.g. a light-emitting diode which flashes in dependence on the offset of the laser beam from the reference point, a phase shifter (10) sensitive to the laser beam modulation frequency positioned between at least 2 photo sensors.
