Ventilation device for a vehicle compartment with noise attenuator

The device has a case (1) equipped with an outer air inlet (4) and a recirculated air inlet (5). A variable position air inlet shutter (8) controls variable air flow supply to ventilators (9-13) arranged in the case. The inlets (4, 5) have an acoustic shield (15) to attenuate propagation of sound wave towards exterior of the case and vehicle compartment side. The sound wave is produced by flow of air circulating in the inlets.
