Pressure balanced bearing

The method involves providing a bypass port (20) around a bearing (18) for allowing a fluid flow from high-pressure side to low-pressure side. A valve body (10) including a selectively operable valve (14) for metering a fluid flow is provided. The bearing cooperates with the valve body and a rotational shaft (16) rotationally cooperates with the valve body using the bearing. An independent claim is also included for a throttle body for an engine.
